Bringing together two full bodied grape varieties to create an elegant wine, is what this blend is all about. Fruit forward nose with hints of ripe cherries and a velvety round finish make it an ideal wine to go with grilled meat, hard cheeses and seasoned turkey.

Hand picked on last weel of April.
VINEYARD
Carmenere grapes coming from vineyards located in Cachapoal Valley and Syrah grapes coming from Colchagua Valley, both areas belongs to big Rapel Valley.
WINEMAKING
Grapes were cold macerated for 2 days before crushing. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 25 degree and 28 degree C. The blend was done after each wine finished the malolactic fermentation. 60% of the blend was aged with American and French oak.
ABOUT THE MERLOT
These vines originally came from Bordeaux, France. It is considered the younger sister of the Cabernet Sauvignon because it produces wines that are similar but have less tannin in them and therefore are smoother, ripening earlier.
In Chile, a considerable proportion of the Merlot grown is in fact Carmenere. For generations these two very semilar varieties have been regarded as identical.
Merlot stands out because it is an intense color wine, aromatic, with blackberry and strawberry undertones, well structured in the mouth with smooth rounded tannins.

TASTING NOTES
Bright purple color, this wine has an intense, complex aroma of floral poutpourri, levender,violet and cherries. In the palate its juicy sweetness and creamy texture enhances the aromas and fruit flavors giving a long lasting finish.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Although soft enough to be enjoyed on its own, this wine goes superbly with white meats and light sauces.
